First Set of Blues Entries

There are 8 concepts nominated this week for COTW. That makes it even more important for a lot of people to vote. It really is easier when ties are avoided. So, here is your voting reminder.
COTW Feb 13-19 vote (ends Thursday @ 11:59pm EST)

Here are the first two entries for the St. Louis Blues ReDesign that came in. You have until Sunday to get yours in. Check out the STL COMP page for all of the details. If you have sent yours in, don't worry, I have it. This post was written on Monday night because I'm at the Leafs v Devils game tonight. Big game, need the 2pts Leafers!

Winter Classic concepts (by Elias)
This is an idea that Elias had for the 2012 Classic, Jets vs Coyotes in Winnipeg. I like the idea of the event logo that he's put together and that Jets jerseys was posted before and I still like it. I don't get the purple on the Coyotes sweater though. I like the primary crest, but I think the coyote should be bigger and the sun rays more muted.

Hamburg Sport-Verein (by Martin)
I know nothing about this club so I'll let Wikipedia take it from here. "Hamburger Sport-Verein, usually referred to as HSV in Germany and Hamburg in international parlance, is a German multi-sport club based in Hamburg, its largest branch being its football department. The football team is one of the country's oldest, most well known, and best performing clubs..."

Calgary Flames concepts (by Brandon C.)
I think these are great as a jersey set for the Flames! The only change I would make would be to use their unique NOB and player number font. I also really like the pants and the lack of collar laces.

Detroit Red Wings concept (by D3troit1388)
This simple and classic design would work quite well for a Wings Classic sweater. However, just like the '09 game, I would place the Wings logo on there as shoulder patches. Great choice with the brown vinatge gloves as well.

Montreal Canadiens concept (by Tex)
Tex gives us a vintage Habs sweater, which I think would be great as a 3rd jersey. Perhaps for Saturday night games? However, I personally prefer the TV numbers to be white instead of blue.

Edmonton Oilers concept (by Brandon C.)
This oil drop logo looks great on an orange version of the current sweaters. It will be interesting to see if the Oilers test the water and try an orange alternate in the future.

Binghamton Senators concept (by HJC)
Obviously this is inspired by the parent club's new 3rd jersey. The logo is also inspired by the logo found on Ottawa's home and road sweaters. The font is the old Sens font, but the B-Sens still use it.

Philadelphia Flyers concept (by Jack)
Jack has simply replaced the vintage white with true white. Any better? I think I prefer the vintage white for this concept.

Philadelphia Flyers concept (by Jack)
And for this concept, Jack turns the sweater black. I like this one!

Dallas Stars concept (by Thomas)
I really like this concept. I like how Thomas has used the two shades of gold really well. I also like the use of the Dallas wordmark and the star logo on the front. COTW nomination from me.
